19th August, 1924.

sir,

In reply to your letter of the 12th August

to Mr. Hankinson at the Colonial Office, I am directed to forward, for your information, a copy of the syllabus of the course of instruction at the Royal Military College and also a copy of the Regulations regarding admission to that Institution.

With special reference to the case of your son,

I am to say that, as he will not be a candidate for a commission in the British Army, the exact age limits are immaterial in his case. Further I am to say that for the same reason he will not be required to pass any entrance examinati on.

In conclusion I am to add, however, that the vacancies likely to exist at the Royal Military College at the beginning of next term justify the promise that your son could be accepted for admission to the Royal Military College, but his admission at any future date must be dependent upon the vacancies existing in the College at the time.

Sir Robert Ho Tung,

60, Rutland Gate,

London,

S.W.7.

I am,

sir,

Your obedient Servant,

(d) W. D. S. Brownrig

Lt. Col. G.

Director of Staff Duties.
